Australian actor Dacre Montgomery was fresh from his success with the Power Rangers film when he was announced as one of the new cast members in Netflix hit Stranger Things.

Making his TV debut this month in the anticipated second season of the 1980s sci-fi drama, the 22 year old WAAPA graduate joins series regulars Winona Ryder and Millie Bobby Brown as mysterious classmate Billy. Earlier this year Montgomery was already celebrating his nomination for a Teen Choice Award in the best actor category, and his role in the sequel to Aussie comedy A Few Best Men, titled A Few Less Men. Montgomery began comprehensive acting classes at the age of 12, which led to appearances in the short film Betrand the Terrible and the music video Old Souls by deathcore band Make Them Suffer.
